The holidays are right around the corner! What better place to start decorating than the kitchen? While the immediate changes of towels, soap, and candles are where we tend to start, there are many ways to add some cheer to an otherwise lacking kitchen. Turning your cabinets into a staple décor piece is one way to make your North Pole dreams come true. Whether you choose ribbon, wreaths, or wrapping, try one of these fun cabinet hacks this year!

Ribbon

The first and most easily achieved look is to wrap your cabinets with ribbon – like a present! Go around the cabinet door horizontally and vertically, tying it off with a bow. This look can be changed to match any style, color palette, or kitchen theme. The ribbon choices are endless and almost all of them will surely do the trick! A slight variation to the present is to add the ribbon in the same fashion, but rather than completing the look with a bow, consider a holly leaf, a bell, or any other holiday item you prefer!

Wreaths

The holidays can be quite a stressful time and perhaps spending your time wrapping cabinet doors and tying and fastening bows for hours isn’t your jam. A simple and easy way to spruce up the cabinet doors is to hang wreaths on the doors. While also customizable because the wreath size and style are up for choosing! The Wreath hanger fits over the cabinet doors swimmingly. The wreaths can be up and doing their job decorating in minimal time and it would add a subtly natural look to any kitchen.

Paper

Now the last look happens to be the most extreme and time-consuming, but I am here for all of it. The first step of wrapping your cabinet doors with wrapping paper starts with a screwdriver: a pre-wrap door removal is helpful! I know half of you stopped wanting this method after reading that. It is possible to wrap them with the doors on, but it makes it much more difficult.

Step 1: Remove the doors.

Step 2: Wrap the doors.

Step 3: ”Ribbon and bow” them to your preferred fashion

Step 4: Poke the hinges back through and screw them back on.

This may take a while or require more materials than you’re willing to spare, but boy will it have captivated your holiday guests!

Finding ways to incorporate the holiday cheer throughout the home is such a fun way to keep the spirit alive this season. Adding a little ribbon or some wreaths – maybe even wrapping your doors! – can bring your holiday décor and your cabinet appeal to a new level this year! Not only will your cabinets be a great focal point but also a conversation starter. Are you going to decorate your cabinets this year?
